SEEWIND
Aktivnosti Univerziteta „Džemal Bijedić“ na FP 6 projektu SEEWIND
U toku realizacije FP6 projekta SEEWIND pod punim nazivom South-East Europe Wind Energy Exploitation – Istraživanje i prikazivanje korištenja energije vjetra na planinskom terenu i pod specifičnim lokalnim sistemima vjetra, a u sklopu Work package
1. Mjerenje i analiza vertikalnog profila vjetra pomoću SODAR-a.
2. Istražiti vremenski razvoj vertikalnog profila vjetra – bura
Acitivities of Dzemal Bijedić University of Mostar within FP6 SEEWIND Project
During the implementation of FP6 project SEEWIND, fully named South-East Europe Wind Energy Exploitation – Research and demonstration of wind energy utilisation in complex terrain and under specific local wind systems, and within Work package
WP 4 - Vertical wind profile in complex terrain
the measurements at location Mali grad - Podveležje with specialized equipment for wind characteristics measuring have begun. Besides standard measuring equipment such as anemometer and wind wane installed at met mast at 12 and 30 m heights, SODAR (Sound Detecting and Ranging) and LIDAR (Light Detecting and Ranging) equipment have been additonally installed.
The objectives of these measurements are:
1. To measure and analyse the vertical wind profile with SODAR.
2. To investigate the temporal evolution of the vertical wind profile during (Bura) Bora events.
3. To determine the suitability of LIDAR for the evaluation of the vertical wind profile in complex terrain.
Dr. Sc. Elvir Zlomušica, doc., coordinator of FP6 Project on behalf of “Džemal Bijedić” University of Mostar has informed us about current activities.
